About Stuart Maconie

Stuart, of course, presents a wunderbar show on BBC Radio 6 Music (with Mark Radcliffe) every weekend morning between 9.00am and 11.00am, as well as his highly individual show Stuart Maconie’s Freak Zone on Sunday evenings. His journalism has appeared everywhere from NME and New Statesman to Elle and Country Walking. His latest book is a Sunday Times bestseller – The Full English, a contemporary revisiting of JB Priestley’s 1930s classic English Journey. Stuart is also a vice president of Ramblers GB and once spent a week in a van in France with Napalm Death. For Krankenhaus, Stuart has provided a bespoke audio accompaniment to some of Alfred Wainwrights’ ‘Walks From Ratty’ – walks that festival-goers can take in the Muncaster and Ravenglass area.
