Sunday morning.
The Gan Yam Hike Club and Ange Harker will lead this mostly flat circular walk, with a moderate incline from Ravenglass back to the festival site. Once again, Gan Yam Brewery brings their Hike Club to Krankenhaus, this time with help from English Coast Path expert Ange Harker. The 4.5-mile circular walk starts at the festival site, heading to the foot of Muncaster Castle to meet the River Esk. You then follow the Esk to Ravenglass estuary, where the three rivers, the Esk, Mite, and Irt, meet. The walk also takes in the ruins of Ravenglass Roman Bath House and a pub stop at The Inn at Ravenglass with stunning views of the estuary. ITINERARY
9.45 am: meet outside the Gan Yam Bar for a 10 am departure. Everyone welcome. No sign-up required. The walk is approx 2.5 hours.
Taking part in this walk is entirely at the participants’ own risk. Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the conditions (some sections may be boggy after rain) and bring your own drinks and snacks. Please also bring any medication you may need.
