Acclaimed Lakes-based author and poet Polly Atkin has written about nature, the Lake District, disability and Dorothy Wordsworth and also co-owns the historic Grasmere bookshop Sam Read Bookseller. At Krankenhaus, Polly will be talking about her new book The Company Of Owls – a talk that, of course, takes place in the vicinity of Muncaster Castle’s own collection of owls from across the world.
Weekend tickets are available at £225 for adults and reduced prices for 17-year-olds and younger or low income. Under threes and carers are free.
There will be a single £25 parking charge for overnight parking for the weekend.
