About Mat Osman

Alongside frontman Brett Anderson, Mat co-founded Suede and has been crucial to their excelsior edge-lands post-punk glam over 10 studio albums. Mat has also written two well-received novels, 2020’s The Ruins and 2023’s The Ghost Theatre. Alongside these, Mat collaborated with cultural curator Stephen Ellcock on the non-fiction book England on Fire, summoning the history of a restless alternative Albion in words and images. At Krankenhaus, Mat will talk about books and records, including his forthcoming third novel, We Are Starting Our Descent.
