Luke is an acclaimed author, a co-founder of arts-and-culture website The Quietus and a writer for titles including The Guardian, the Observer, Dazed and NME. He is also a long-standing evangelist for Krankenhaus hosts Sea Power. Luke’s first book, Out Of The Woods, was a memoir of desire, faith and an exploration of human identity within both the natural world and London’s Epping Forest. It was shortlisted for the Wainwright Prize. At Krankenhaus, in conversation with writer and Sea Power archivist Roy Wilkinson, Luke will discuss his latest book, Men At War, a much-praised account of masculinity and sexuality during the Second World War, one that also assesses how the conflict impacts our culture today.
