A lifelong birder, conservationist and nature enthusiast, Jon grew up on the shores of Morecambe Bay and pursued a career in the arts, media and marketing. Following time spent in Canada, he returned to the Morecambe Bay area in 2012 to work for the RSPB. He is currently Visitor Experience Manager at the RSPB’s Leighton Moss nature reserve, on the North Lancashire/Cumbria border. Leighton Moss welcomes around 100,000 visitors a year – and includes the largest reed bed in northwest England, home to endangered species such as bittern and bearded tit. Along with birds, Jon’s other main passion is music and he lets off steam by playing in a rock and roll band. At Krankenhaus, Lee will be in conversation with the RSPB’s Lee Schofield, talking about conservation, birds and the Lakes.
