At Krankenhaus, multi-media artist Alexander will give an audio-visual presentation based on the acclaimed recent album Fifth Continent – a posthumous collaboration from Alexander and Keith Collins (1966-2018). Fifth Continent gives tribute to Collins, his partner and collaborator Derek Jarman (1942-1994) and the eerie, Kentish moonscape headland of Dungeness. The album features modular synthesis, cello, field recordings by Tucker and Collins, the trumpet of musician Kenichi Iwasa and Collins’s voice. At his Krankenhaus performance, Alex will give a short introductory talk about Fifth Continent and its accompanying book, Fifth Quarter. Then there will be sound and vision – a performance of Fifth Continent accompanied by a film projection.
