About Citizen Science with Jon Carter and the BTO

A lifelong birder and naturalist, Jon grew up on the shores of Morecambe Bay. He worked for the RSPB before taking up his current role with the British Trust for Ornithology. Join Jon for a guided bird walk with a difference, learning how to use tech to enhance your nature experiences while contributing to citizen science. We’ll be using the Merlin bird sounds app and recording sightings on BirdTrack as we explore the castle grounds. Download both the Merlin and BirdTrack apps for free and join in. This walk is all within the Muncaster Castle grounds. Meet at 9.45 am at Festival HQ, for a 10 am start.
