FRIDAY
Friday morning. This is a medium difficulty guided walk with some uphill climbs. Join us for an invigorating festival-commencement walk across Muncaster Fell, then head back to Muncaster Castle, returning in time for the festival opening ceremony. Walkers take a chartered steam train on the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, then head on a 4.5-mile walk back over Muncaster Fell. If the weather’s fair, there should be glorious views of the Isle of Man and the Scafell peaks. Pick up a leaflet on the walk from Festival HQ.
ITINERARY
9.45 am: meet at the Krankenhaus HQ by the Barn Stage for the walk down to the station. Or meet us on the platform at the Ravenglass and Eskdale steam railway at 10.15 am.
