KRANKENHAUS PRESENTS
England Coastal Path Walk: Seascale to Ravenglass

About England Coastal Path Walk: Seascale to Ravenglass

Saturday morning.

Join Ange Harker, one of this coastal path’s creators as part of Natural England – and also the author of the forthcoming guidebook Walking The King Charles III England Coast Path: North West. The walk will be 6.5 miles, from Seascale to Ravenglass. The KCIIIECP will eventually be a 2,700-mile route around the whole coast of England. The North West section opened in 2021 and takes in dunes, estuary, WWII remnants, and a pretty packhorse bridge, with spectacular views of mountains (and the occasional nuclear site). Meet at the Barn for a 9.30 am briefing and departure. We’ll walk together to Ravenglass mainline railway station to catch the 10.16 am train to Seascale. Please purchase your train tickets on the day (£3.80) – we’ll aim to be at the station in plenty of time. If you’re staying in Ravenglass Village, meet us on platform one at the mainline station – NB, not the La’al Ratty steam train. Taking part in this walk is entirely at your own risk. Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the conditions (some sections may be boggy after rain) and bring your drinks and snacks. Please bring any medication you may need. We’ll finish in Ravenglass around 2 pm, where you can enjoy a pub lunch, take in the Ravenglass Roman remains, or head straight back to the festival site.
